Summing up the whole semester, I truly believe that the most impressive thing is that the digital world allows us to communicate without distance. Despite not sitting together, I feel that our communication is not restricted by geography through the comments and discussions in MOOC. Additionally, I often find it surprising that people who have the same ideas as me have already left comments, and there are also many people who have different ideas from me. I could learn about the different situations in different countries from their comments, and there are many interesting examples they would like to share. One of the biggest contributions of digital technologyis that the way people communicate have been changed, and it will never stop. It could be predict that maybe our communication methods will become different in many years.

Directly sharing your own experience, your own feelings and your situation are also valuable in digital communication. When I upload a blogpost, I will look forward to my classmates and friends leaving comments for me, asking questions and having discussions. At the same time, I also enjoy leaving comments for people I do not know just because I am attracted to their blog posts. The charm of the digital world is that you may not know who the other party is, but your ideas will attract each other. Digital technology gives us a platform for free communication. Perhaps when people feel it difficult to express themselves, digital world should be considered as a more open medium which allows you to express your thoughts and attitudes simply. Furthermore, And digital technology is not time-sensitive, as long as you do n’t delete it, people will always see the comments you have made before.

For instance, I posted this comment a few months ago. When I logged in a few days ago, I found someone clicked ‘like’,which makes me really happy.

There is an example of comments I made to my classmates’ blogposts:

I didn’t know about the Tripadviser in the past, but by reading her blogpost, the most interesting I learned is that the website can be monetized by page views. I also raised my concerns about the authenticity of the comments, and The blogger also responded to my comments. I like this kind of communication, which makes me feel more free to express my emotions and ideas, and often get a response. In addition, because the blog is more streamlined, I can also get the most basic knowledge and keywords I need. I like the way that blogging delivers information-it’s a private, academic, and with shared-nature way.
